| On January 14, 1998, The Field Museum and International Contractors, Inc. retained band, Inc. to provide fiber optic lighting design and consulting services to both the museum and its renovation design architects, DLK Architects of Chicago, Illinois. Upon their approval of Band, Inc.'s preliminary design concept, Band was given a go-ahead and supplied with the museum's original Grainger Gallery as-built drawings dating back to 1984. Equipped with the dimensional layouts of all twenty-one(21) display cases, Band, Inc's installation crew began assembling and preparing the twenty-five(25) custom, fiber optic systems it had specified for the project. What Band soon discovered, however, was that the museum's original as-built drawings had neither been verified in the field, nor, updated in 14 years. |

| With the cooperation of the general contractor, museum exhibit staff and security, Band's installation crew worked in shifts around-the-clock to complete an installation in 7 days that had been initially time-estimated at between 10-12 days. |
